Creditwrench and FACTA

CREDITWRENCH CEO Billie Bauer recently admitted he did not know that a consumer credit law, commonly known as FACTA, was in fact a law.

Interesting that someone who promotes themself as an expert on the FDCPA knows nothing about FACTA. In fact, CREDITWRENCH CEO Billie Bauer goes to such lengths to promote himself as an expert on the FDCPA that he even registered the domain name fdcpaexpert. com.

One cannot possibly enforce all of the rights one is afforded under the FDCPA without being cognizant of an important consumer credit law such as FACTA.

For example, FACTA gives you the right to dispute inaccuracies on your credit report directly with the data furnisher, such as a collection agency. If the collection agency fails to investigate and correct the inaccuracy, according to FACTA guidelines, they are now in violation of the FDCPA for misrepresenting the status of the debt.

It's criminal that CREDITWRENCH CEO Billie Bauer, in an effort to promote his credit repair scam, would portray himself as an expert on the FDCPA. Particularly in light of his own admission that he is unfamiliar with consumer credit laws.

Doing Business with a Racist

Creditwrench CEO Billie Bauer is an admitted racist. A case on point is this thread. It's pretty obvious from that thread, and others, how Creditwrench CEO Billie Bauer feels about anyone who isn't a male caucasian. Somehow he's convinced himself that African-Americans have no problem with being called the "N" word. There are simply no bounds to the mans ignorance.

On its most basic level, racism is about one's own inadequacy, so I suppose it should come as no surprise how Creditwrench CEO Billie Bauer feels about others. Every day is a struggle for Billie as he seeks to cope with his inadequacies.

He's been divorced 8 times. Unable to hold a job due to his lack of education, he was constantly uprooting his family and moving to other states to find work. His inability to manage his own finances has caused him to be evicted on numerous ocassions.

Now, in his mid-70's, living on nothing more than a Social Security check, he is seemingly unable to cope with the fact that he is the bottom rung of societies ladder.

Disparaging others allows him to feel better about himself. As he sees his African-American neighbors continuing to become more affluent while his own situation worsens, he conjures up images of his youth when minorities held a different position in society than now. He is given to living in the past with no hope of a future.

He's not to be pitied as pity is a form of condoning, and we should not condone racist theives.

Karma has caught up to the man who has attempted to make a living by cheating others under the guise of helping them.

Creditwrench uses illegal tactics to promote his scam

Recently, CREDITWRENCH CEO Billie Bauer admitted publicly to violating Federal Law in his efforts to promote his credit repair scam.

A direct quote from a statement by CREDITWRENCH CEO Billie Bauer on July 31st, 2006:
I play a dvd movie from Blockbuster's latest releases and beam it up on the wall of a building and it looks like a real outdoor movie going on that is free to the public.

And of course I have plenty of business cards and informational phamplets to hand out to the crowd. It draws crowds like crazy.

Gets lots of new business wherever I go and set up shop.

That's just one of the ways I get business.

It may be one of the ways he gets business, but what he is doing violates Tile 17 of the U.S. code, also know as the Federal Copyright Act.

Movies are only licensed for private viewing inside one's home, not public performances. Without having purchased public viewing rights any copyrighted movie, whether rented or purchased, cannot be shown publicly.

This applies regardless of whether an admission fee is charged or not.

Violation of the federal copyright act is punishable by fines of up to $100,000 and/or 1 year in jail.

So not only does CREDITWRENCH CEO Billie Bauer provide false and misleading information to his "students", he violates Federal Law to entice them to become "students" in the first place.

The scammer gets scammed

There's an old saying: "You can't cheat an honest man".

Creditwrench CEO Billie Bauer recently proved all by himself that he doesn't fit the category of an "honesty man".

Recently he received an email that indicated that $10.00 had been credited to his paypal account. Rather than doing what a normal person would do, knowing all of the phishing scams that surround financial institutions like paypal, and check his account, he responded to the email. In his response to the email he asked why they were giving him $10.00, which to Creditwrench CEO Billie Bauer is a lot of money.

Creditwrench CEO Billie Bauer then believes his email bounced back because the email account he replied to was invalid.

Here's how Creditwrench CEO Billie Bauer has been scammed.

1. His reply email did not bounce back. A bot responded with an auto-reply to make it appear it had. Rather, his email actually was received by the scammer.

2. The scammer now knows Creditwrench CEO Billie Bauer's email address is indeed valid.

This scam is simply one of many methods of "email harvesting."

The scammer will now use this valid email address to send spam and make it appear as though the spam originates from Creditwrench CEO Bill Bauer's email address. Addtionally, it will be sold to other spammers who will do the same. The scammer could also use it for more sinister purposes such as sending out backdoor trojans. All done with the appearance that it originates from Creditwrench CEO Billie Bauer's email address.

Here is a good article on email harvesting. As the article points out, some of the consequences Creditwrench CEO Billie Bauer could face as a result of his stupidity are:

--You will lose your ISP.
--You will lose your Domain host.
--You will lose your Domain.
--Your name will be added to the spam list.
--Your business will be blacklisted.
--You will gain a very bad reputation as a spammer.

The last one probably doesn't mean much to Creditwrench CEO Billie Bauer as he already has a bad reputation.
