Another Creditwrench Scam

Having to live on nothing but a meager social security check, and facing another possible eviction, Creditwrench CEO Billie Bauer Beaver, in desperation, seeks another means to scam innocent consumers.

He claims that for $100 per month you can forward your collection calls to him and he will record violations so you can turn them over to your attorney to file suit.

Your attorney will laugh you out of his office. Bil-lie Bauer Beaver is not a party to the debt, nor is he the consumer as that term is defined in the FDCPA. Therefore, a collector is free to say anything they wish to Bil-lie, including threatening to burn your house down and rape your goat. You have no cause of action.

Besides, no one would actually pay $100 a month to forward their calls to a con artist when phone companies provide privacy manager services for less than $10.

Privacy manager intercepts your calls, and requires the caller to identify themselves before your phone even rings. You get a special ring on your phone and when you pick it up, it announces the caller. You have the option to accept the call or reject it.

You can also provide your friends and relatives with a pin number. If the caller doesn't enter the pin number when prompted, privacy manager terminates the call, your phone never even rings. Read more about privacy manager here http://www.sbc.com/gen/general?pid=3740

If you're dumb enough to subscribe to Vonage, or another unreliable VOIP service, you can download Phone Tray that provides the same privacy options.
