False FDCPA claims
Recently, CREDITWRENCH CEO Billie Bauer claimed on his forum:
The truth of the matter is that rights to a debt can be assigned from a creditor to anyone else they choose. And those rights don't even have to be sold, they can be given away. The right of assignment is basic to any contract.
CREDITWRENCH CEO Billie Bauer's claim that a debt assigned to someone other than the originator of the contract has no legal standing is false and misleading.

A debt sold from a creditor to someone else has no standing in a court of law therefore if they try to sue you to collect it they can be sued for violation of the FDCPA
